Personalize your square envelopes by importing your design. To achieve high print quality, we recommend using HD images (300dpi) for your files. Envelopes can be personalized on both sides. Invisible elements will not be printed. All our square envelopes are printed in France in our Parisian workshop on FSC® certified creative papers.
What type of images can be used?r
To ensure optimal print quality on our Art du Papier website, here are the essential recommendations regarding the images to use in our personalization module.
1. Accepted image formats
- JPEG
- PNG
Tip: choose PNG format if your visual has a transparent background.
2. Recommended resolution
- 300 dpi minimum
- Minimum recommended size: 1500 px on the shortest side
- The larger the image, the better the rendering
- Maximum image size: 5 MB
Avoid screenshots, blurry or over-compressed images.
3. Colors & print rendering
Our prints are made in four-color process (CMYK).
- RGB images are still compatible, but slight color differences may appear.
- Prioritize contrasting colors and bright images.
4. Copyright compliance
Only use:
- Your own photos.
- Images for which you hold the rights.
- Royalty-free visuals or those under appropriate licenses.
We cannot print images from:
- The Internet without authorization
- Protected works, logos, or illustrations
5. Ideal image types according to your projects
- Invitations / Cards: bright photos, sharp background, no noticeable filter
- Visual identities / Logos: PNG or PDF files with transparent background, vector if possible
6. What to avoid
- Images downloaded from social media (low quality)
- Dark or noisy photos
- Pixelated logos
- Images containing unwanted blurry areas
Do you check our designs before printing?r
Each creation is carefully checked by our graphic team.
When you personalize your invitation, our creative team systematically checks your design before printing, and also performs a check during the printing process to ensure optimal rendering.
If you wish, you can receive a digital proof (BAT) before production begins. Simply make the request.
We recommend ordering the printing of a sample delivered on A4 sheet if you have any doubts about your layout.
For any specific request regarding layout, correction, or in-depth verification, you can use the text box titled "Leave a message or instructions for our graphic designer" on the personalization page. Our team will take into account each of your instructions before final validation.
Create your Print File
Create your Print File
1. Essential vocabulary
- Final format: Exact size of the document once cut
- Bleed: Area that extends beyond the final format (4 mm on each side) to avoid white edges; this part will be cut after printing. It is represented on our configurator by the red area.
- Safety zone: Inner margin (approximately 5 mm) where no text or important elements should be placed
- Front / Back: Front = first side / Back = second side of the printed document
2. Good design practices
Do:
- Extend colored backgrounds, photos, or graphic elements to the bleed
- Use high-resolution images (300 dpi)
Avoid:
- Placing text too close to the edges
- Forgetting to extend a colored background to the edge of the bleed
- Exporting in low quality
Recommended format: High-quality PDF
- Enable the following options:
- Bleed
- Crop marks
Recommended color profile: CMYK
3. Export your file
